SB419 which was debated in committee Thursday morning reforms Medicaid in Missouri by reducing waste, fraud and abuse, focusing on Missouri solutions for Missouri specific issues, promotes personal responsibility and ensures the quality of care.

CCMH was able to implement a Career Advancement Program for Professional Nurses through a grant with the Missouri Hospital Association. The career ladder was rolled out in April of 2014. Christina Acord, R.T (R)(M)
Miss Acord has been with the Carroll County Memorial Hospital organization for eight years with Radiology Services. She began her tenure with CCMH as a Register Radiology Technologist and has since gone on to earn her Register Mammography Technologist credential. Christina is the primary mammography tech for CCMH. As such, she organizes the breast cancer awareness events and oversees all the mammography imaging performed. She is known to her co-workers for her professional, playful and light-hearted approach to her life and work. She has helped establish and grow the CCMH mammography services during her tenure. Christina is attributed with record high mammography images for the facility and flawless inspections. Her bedside manner for those she cares for set the gold standard for the department. She always has the patient's best interest at heart in her work and it shows.
Carroll County Memorial Hospital is grateful for the dedication Christina has to her profession, her patients and the organization. We are proud to call her the January 2014 Employee of the Month.
