Your Accomodations…


at Carroll County Memorial Hospital have been made by your physician.  We have both private and semi-private rooms to accommodate our patients.  Room assignments are made to maximize your privacy and care, and every attempt is made to honor your requests. If we cannot accommodate your requests initially, we will make every effort to when space permits.

Personal Items you may want to bring with you….

To make your stay more comfortable  may include: combs, denture cup, deodorant, facial tissues, hairbrush, lotion, shampoos, shaving kits,  toothbrush, etc. Additional items for your comfort may also be appropriate such as special pillow, blanket, robe, slipper or entertainment items like books, magazines, puzzles or games.

Special Needs

If you wear contact lenses, dentures, removable bridges, prosthetic device, or use home medical equipment please tell your nurse when you are admitted.

Food & Nutrition

A member of the dietary staff will be available to assist you with an explanation of the menu. If you physician has prescribed a modified diet, this will be explained to you as well.  Meals are served in patient rooms at the following times unless altered for a test or therapy requirement:
Breakfast    7:15 a.m.    Lunch              11:30 a.m.            Dinner        5:15 p.m.

Your guests are welcome to dine in the hospital’s cafeteria, open daily 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Outside of cafeteria operating hours the vending machines are also available for purchase of snacks.

Telephone

  • Local Calls:  Dial “9” then the telephone number
  • Long Distance Calls:  (This will be an operated assisted call) Dial “9” then “0” then telephone number with area code
  • The hospital phone number is 660-542-1695. Your friends and family may reach you by calling this number. Except in an emergency, incoming calls are not permitted between 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Cell phones are permitted, but we ask you assistance in ensuring they do not disturb other patients.

Television

There is one television per room. The volume and channel controls are on your bedrail unless other arrangements have been made.  A television guide is provided in your room for your convenience.
