Visiting Hours & Waiting Area

Patient care is our primary concern at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, and, in order to enhance the quality of care, specific hours and regulations have been established for each unit.

West Medical/Surgical Unit
Emergency Department

Waiting areas are available for the comfort and convenience of our patients and visitors.
  • Main Waiting Area: located at the front hospital entrance.
  • Outpatient Waiting Area:  Large waiting surrounded by Laboratory, Outpatient Clinic, Radiology or Respiratory Departments.
  • West Waiting Area: Located just past room 101 for your convenience.
  • Emergency Department: Located immediately outside the department.
These areas are designated so CCMH staff can locate you when needed.

Parking

Parking for patients and visitors is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.  All parking at Carroll County Memorial Hospital is free.  Patients and visitors are cautioned not to park in reserved areas or certain designated areas.  Please be sure to lock your care.  If you to need assistance with your vehicle, please contact a member of the CCMH staff.

Smoke Free Campus

Carroll County Memorial Hospital is a nonsmoking campus.  This means there is no smoking permitted inside or outside the facility.  This includes parking lots, walk ways, seating areas, etc. to the roadways.

Valuables

Patients should not bring valuables to the hospital.  If you do bring a valuable item, it should be deposited in the safe with the Business Office.  You will be given a written receipt for all items, which must be presented when you withdraw them. The hospital does not accept responsibility for items of value unless they are deposited in the safe.

You Medications

When you are admitted you will be asked for a list of your home medications (name, dosage, and frequency).  If you do not have a list you may be asked to bring your medications in so that the information can be recorded for your physician. Unless otherwise requested, ALL MEDICINE TAKEN WHILE IN THE HOSPITAL MUST BE SUPPLIED BY THE PHARMACY.  This is for your safety and protection.

Electronic Appliances

You are requested not to bring electrical appliances to the hospital for safety reasons. If you must have an item, please let the staff know so that the proper precautions can be initiated to ensure your safety.
