Is Pelvic Floor Rehab for Me? 

Your provider can best determine if and when pelvic floor therapy is appropriate. You may be a candidate if you have experienced any of the following:

  • Urinary Incontinence (stress, urge, mixed) 

  • Fecal Incontinence 

  • Dysmenorrhea   

  • Dyspareunia/ Pain with insertion 

  • Coccydynia 

  • Neurologic dysfunction of bladder 

  • Chronic Constipation, Hemorrhoids 

  • Pelvic Organ Prolapse (Cystocele, Rectocele, Urethrocele, Uterine Prolapse)

  • Pre- and Postpartum

  • Pelvic pain (endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, vaginismus, vulvodynia, pelvic congestion syndrome, prostatitis, penile, scrotal, testicular, Hard-Flaccid) 

  • Diastasis Recti 

  • Pre- and Post-Cancer involving urinary and bowel systems

  • Pre- and Post-Prostatectomy 

  • Erectile Dysfunction 

  • Bed Wetting/Pediatric bowel and bladder dysfunction

What does Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation involve?

Evaluation by a trained pelvic floor physical therapist with individualized Plan of Care. 

One-on-One Treatment Interventions (Does not have to include internal treatment if patient prefers):

  • Manual Therapy 

  • Exercise

  • Patient Education 

  • Lifestyle Modifications 

  • Modalities- Biofeedback, sEMG, E-Stim, Ultrasound 

  • Penile clamps, pumps 

  • Anal balloons 

  • Vaginal Dilators 

  • Pelvic Floor Massage Wands 

  • Pregnancy Support Belts 

  • Dry Needling
