CCMH Celebrates Diagnostic and Therapeutic Professionals
March 29, 2019
To honor and recognize their employees, Carroll County Memorial Hospital holds departmental appreciation weeks throughout the year. Employees are categorized into five groups, and are recognized during one of these five special weeks.
The first group celebrated was CCMH diagnostic and therapeutic staff. Departments included were Cardiopulmonary Services, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Rehabilitation Services (physical, occupational & speech therapies), Radiology and Senior Life Solutions. Their recognition took place March 11-15.
These appreciation weeks consist of treats, gifts, spirit week, charitable community donations, an employee voting system based on CCMH’s values and a trash pickup through the Missouri Adopt-A-Highway program.
Throughout the week, decorative canvases were awarded to five staff members based on votes from fellow employees and CCMH’s values. Nancy Lock received Integrity, Sandy Berghager won Compassion, Amy Peck was given Always, Blake Riley earned Respect, and Keith Combs was awarded Excellence.
A Supply Drive for local nursing homes was held in conjunction with the special week, where all CCMH employees were invited to participate. They collected items for residents of Life Care Center of Carrollton and Carroll House, Carrollton’s two long-term care facilities.
“CCMH staff surprised the residents of Life Care Center of Carrollton with a multitude of gifts ranging from Bingo prizes to bathing products to games,” Lynn Hayes, Executive Director of Life Care Center of Carrollton, said. “The residents were very excited to receive the items. They have already picked out items they want to win in Bingo. CCMH shows servant leadership daily and are wonderful healthcare partners with Life Care Center of Carrollton. We are blessed to serve with them in the healthcare community. Thank you CCMH.”
“The residents were very excited with the new and different items they received,” said Amber Batye, LNHA and Administrator of Carroll House. “We thank you all for thinking of us, and appreciate your thoughtfulness!”
The next group to be recognized is CCMH nursing staff, which will take place in May.
