CCMH Foundation Hold Second Annual Gala
December 06, 2019
CARROLLTON, Mo. – The Carroll County Memorial Hospital Foundation held its Second Annual Gala November 2 with a remarkable showing in both attendance and generosity.
“We are so proud of our Foundation Board, staff and all who attended this exciting event,” said Jeff Tindle, CCMH Chief Executive Officer. “This year, the event raised over $70,000, which will allow the Foundation to provide scholarships, medical equipment, and new opportunities for patient assistance.”
“The generosity we witnessed during the event was remarkable. It is so uplifting to see everyone come together to support a local cause,” said Rachel Davidson, CCMH Foundation Director. “I also want to extend a very special thank you to our Premier Sponsors, Cerner and Shirkey Hospice & Palliative Care. This event would not have been possible without their support. The tentative date for next year is Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020.”
The event, held at the Carrollton Country Club, was comprised of a social hour including a wine pull and professional photographer, four-course dinner, short program offered by Tindle and CCMH Foundation Board Chair Jeff Adams, a silent auction, as well as two live auctions hosted by Drs. Rick Smith and Andy Horine.
“With the help of generous supporters, the Foundation has received over $435,000 since its inception and has distributed approximately $70,000,” Adams said. “This year, the Foundation Board established The Hope Fund. This fund will allow CCMH to enhance the overall health of patients and reduce hospital re-admissions by increasing patient access to life-sustaining medications, assistive devices, transportation and home health resources.”
The charitable contributions of those in attendance was overwhelming as they pulled together during The Hope Fund pledges by raising $25,000 for this new fund.
“This really means a lot to not only those patients these funds will assist, but to our employees and community who will see and hear about the support and care provided through the CCMH Foundation,” Tindle said. “The CCMH Foundation truly supports and embraces the mission of the hospital. We are dedicated to the health and well-being of all we serve.”
