CCMH Holds Annual Trunk or Treat Event

November 13, 2018

Over 850 community members came out for this year's Trunk or Treat event on Sunday, October 28.

On Sunday, October 28, Carroll County Memorial Hospital staff and community partners came out and set up festive, themed trunks for area children in the 4 Corners Café parking lot.

The lot was filled with nearly 35 trunks ranging from movie characters to games to spooky scenes. This year, several local businesses and organizations joined the CCMH staff.

“We are thankful for the continued support from our local emergency service providers, Carrollton Fire Department, Carrollton Police Department, Carroll County Sheriff’s Department and Carroll County Ambulance District, as well as Carrollton Municipal Utilities for their participation in this event,” said CCMH Community Outreach Coordinator Kate Lyons. “We were also thrilled to have new participation from additional community trunks.”

Nearly 500 hot dogs were served to the 854 attendees who came through the event. CCMH staff held a Candy Drive leading up to the event to supply fellow co-workers’ trunks. There was enough candy remaining to donate to the Carroll County Area YMCA’s Trunk or Treat on October 31.

“The Trunk or Treat is always a fun event, and a great opportunity for all staff to get involved,” said CCMH CEO Jeff Tindle. “A huge thank you to the CCMH family and community partners for making this growing event special for local families to enjoy.”
