CCMH Partners with Organizations for Women's Health
March 23, 2016

CCMH works hard to bring the best care – and variety of care – to our patients. To do so, CCMH has formed partnerships with other organizations to provide specialized outpatient clinics. One such clinic is women’s health and OB/GYN care.
From Hedrick Medical Center, board-certified OB-GYNs Yulia Peniston, D.O., FACOG, and D.J. Clow, D.O., FACOOG, travel to Carrollton the first and third Tuesdays of every month. You will receive comprehensive care from familiar faces too. The nurses and caregivers who support Drs. Peniston and Clow are the same Carroll County Memorial Hospital staffers you’ve known for years.
Dr. Karen B. Song and Certified Nurse Midwives Megan Shepard and Deanna Donnell from Marshall Women’s Care will provide care on a rotating basis the first and third Wednesdays of every month.
This means you’ll have the same doctor caring for you before, during, and after childbirth.
From preventive and prenatal care to menopause treatment and beyond, we deliver the compassionate care women deserve. Access to specialty treatments for a range of conditions affecting women, including menstrual disorders; endometriosis, fibroids, and ovarian cysts; pelvic support disorders; menopausal symptoms; gynecological cancer and urinary incontinence.
Dr. Clow has been practicing at Hedrick OB-GYN Associates since 2005. He is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist. Originally from Crystal Lake, Illinois, Dr. Clow earned his medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences, Kansas City, Mo., and completed an internship and residency at Doctor’s Hospital of Stark County in Massillon, Ohio. Prior to joining Hedrick, Dr. Clow served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He operated a private practice in Wichita, Kan., for five years and also worked for a group practice in Somerset, Pa.
Dr. Peniston joined Hedrick OB-GYN Associates in 2011. She is also a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist. Dr. Peniston earned her medical degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in San Francisco, and completed her residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. Before joining Dr. Clow at Hedrick OB-GYN Associates, Dr. Peniston operated a successful group practice in Kansas City, Kan.
Dr. Song joined Marshall Women’s Care during the summer of 2014, after relocating to Marshall with her husband, a Marshall native. Prior to joining Marshall Women’s Care, Dr. Song worked for the Family Healthcare Network, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Porterville, California. She also served at Sierra View District Hospital as Chief of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
She performed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center in California after receiving her Doctor of Medicine degree from Michigan State University. She holds dual undergraduate degrees: bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Women’s Studies from San Francisco State University.
Certified Nurse Midwife Megan Shepard’s hometown is Marshall. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Saint Luke’s School of Nursing in Kansas City, Missouri, and went on to receive her Masters in Nursing and Certificate of Midwifery from the University of Kansas.
Certified Nurse Midwife Deanna Donnell also calls Marshall her home. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Missouri, Sinclair School of Nursing. Deanna went on to receive a Master’s degree in Nursing and a Certificate of Midwifery from Sinclair School of Nursing at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
