CCMH Plans Community Activities
April 16, 2018
Carroll County Memorial Hospital has plans for a busy May. Hospital Week is celebrated May 6-12, 2018, with activities for CCMH employees, as well as events for the community. The month will start off with a 5K Run/Walk Saturday, May 5.
“In collaboration with the CCMH Wellness Committee, the CCMH Foundation is sponsoring a 5K Run/Walk to kick off the Hospital Week activities,” said CCMH Director of Quality Cindy Gilman. “The Wellness Committee has provided employees with necessary tools to train in preparation for the event. These tools have also been posted to Facebook so that you can join us.”
“Hospital Week also provides us with an opportunity to give back to the community with a Health Fair and Family Fun Night and a Community Picnic,” said Rachel Davidson, CCMH Director of Marketing & Public Relations. “We hope everyone will come out and participate.”
The Health Fair will be held at Carroll County Memorial Hospital Thursday evening, May 10 from 5-7 p.m. As in years past, CCMH will hold a picnic for the community on Friday, May 11. However, this year the event will take place in the 4 Corners Café parking lot, rather than outside the main hospital entrance.
“We are excited to host the Health Fair here on campus this year,” said Cindy Gilman.
Gilman explained that historically the fair is held off-site and on a Saturday. To better serve our community, we plan to offer something for the young and old. We hope to receive participation from families due to changing the date and time to during the evening on a weekday.
“We again have the honor of sharing the sponsoring of this year’s picnic event with Cerner,” said Jeff Tindle, CCMH Chief Executive Officer. “Cerner is such a great partner to CCMH and we are so appreciative of their support and contribution to our event.”
More information on each of these events can be found on the CCMH Facebook page.
