CCMH Recognizes Diagnostic and Therapeutic Professionals
April 27, 2018
To celebrate and recognize their employees, Carroll County Memorial Hospital holds departmental appreciation weeks throughout the year. Employees are categorized into five groups, and are recognized during one of these five special weeks.
The first group celebrated was CCMH diagnostic and therapeutic staff. Departments included were Pharmacy, Senior Life Solutions, Cardiopulmonary, Radiology, Physical Therapy and Laboratory. Their recognition took place April 9-13, with daily awards and treats.
“The Rewards and Standards Team, made up of 10 employees, coordinates these appreciation weeks for our staff, said Tim Braun, CCMH Chief Operations Officer. “As a team they determine the plan for the week, including snacks, gifts, education on specific roles of our diagnostic and therapeutic professionals, generate an employee voting system based on our CCMH values, spirit week, a charitable community donation and a trash pickup through the Missouri Adopt-A-Highway program.”
A fan drive was held in conjunction with the special week, where all CCMH employees were invited to participate. The collected fans were donated to HELP Services, and they in turn donate them to individuals in need for the hot months ahead. Last year employees collected 38 fans. This year, they surpassed that goal and brought in 44 fans.
Throughout the week, decorative canvases were awarded to five staff members based on votes from fellow employees and CCMH’s values. Blake Riley received Integrity, Jeanie Brown won Compassion, Amy Peck was given Always, Sandy Berghager earned Respect, and Chrisann Floyd was awarded Excellence.
“This was a close year on votes, which truly demonstrates the level of care and service our employees strive to offer to patients, as well as each other,” said Braun. “After receiving multiple tied votes, we had to reopen the voting in an effort to break ties.”
The next group being recognized is CCMH nursing staff, which will take place in June.
