CCMH Sleep Lab Receives Accreditation
February 21, 2017

CARROLLTON, Mo. -- Carroll County Memorial Hospital (CCMH) proudly announces its approval of accreditation status by Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) for the services of the CCMH Sleep Lab.
Achieving accreditation is a process where healthcare organizations demonstrate compliance with national standards. Accreditation by ACHC reflects an organization’s dedication and commitment to meeting standards that facilitate a higher level of performance and patient care.
ACHC is a not-for-profit organization that has stood as a symbol of quality and excellence since 1986. ACHC is ISO 9001:2008 certified and has CMS Deeming Authority for Home Health, Hospice and DMEPOS.
A sleep study is an overnight exam that is non-invasive and allows the patient to be monitored while they sleep to see what's happening in their brain and body. For this test, the patient will go to a sleep lab that is set up for an overnight stay. Carroll County Memorial Hospital has been offering sleep studies in their Respiratory Therapy Department since 2006 and has enjoyed a partnership with Practical Sleep Services since 2013.
“Our Sleep Lab participants are referred to us by our Primary Care Physicians or our Pulmonologist Dr. Eveloff who sees patients in the CCMH Outpatient Clinic,” said Sandy Berghager, CCMH Director of Cardiopulmonary and Rehab Services. “We are in the process of renovating our sleep study rooms and look forward to continuing this service at the hospital.”
Dr. Scott Eveloff is certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Sleep Medicine with the American Board of Internal Medicine. He sees patients in Carrollton on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month.
