May 19, 2026
CARROLLTON, Mo. – Carroll County Memorial Hospital (CCMH) is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Vivek Manchanda, MD, a highly accomplished and triple board-certified physician, to its team as a Pain Management Specialist within the Outpatient Specialty Clinic and Surgical Services Department.
Dr. Manchanda brings exceptional expertise and a strong commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Anesthesiology, and the American Board of Pain Medicine—a distinction achieved by fewer than 1 percent of practicing pain management physicians nationwide.
Dr. Manchanda earned his medical degree from Government Medical College in India and completed his internship at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He went on to complete his internal medicine residency at the University of Nevada, Reno, followed by an anesthesiology residency at the University of Missouri, where he served as Chief Resident. He later pursued fellowship training in Pain Medicine at the University of Cincinnati, where he was selected as Chief Fellow in one of the nation’s oldest academic pain management programs.
Throughout his career, Dr. Manchanda has demonstrated a strong commitment to research and education. His work has included studies at the University of California, Davis Medical Center focusing on Hepatitis C treatments and at the University of Nevada examining pain signaling in neurons. He has published in peer-reviewed journals, authored textbook chapters, and frequently presents at national and international conferences on advanced pain management techniques such as Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) and Intrathecal Drug Delivery Systems (IDDS).
At CCMH, Dr. Manchanda will provide a comprehensive range of advanced interventional pain management procedures, including spinal cord stimulator insertion, epidural steroid injections, trigger point and joint injections, vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty, radiofrequency ablation and discograms.
His approach emphasizes multidisciplinary, evidence-based care, focusing on restoring patient function and quality of life while minimizing reliance on addictive medications whenever possible.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Manchanda to Carroll County Memorial Hospital,” said Blake Riley, CCMH Chief Operations Officer. “His extensive training, national recognition, and commitment to innovative, patient-centered care will greatly enhance our ability to serve patients suffering from chronic pain.
