Dr. John Ellis Returns to CCMH Outpatient Specialty Clinic
March 21, 2023

CARROLLTON, Mo. – Carroll County Memorial Hospital is excited to announce that Dr. John Ellis has joined the CCMH team as our own Otolaryngologist in the Outpatient Specialty Clinic, located on Level 1 of the CCMH Medical Plaza.
“We are so excited Dr. Ellis has decided to return to CCMH and continue to serve our Ear, Nose and Throat patients,” said Scott Thoreson, CCMH Chief Executive Officer. “Dr. Ellis originally began seeing patients in our Outpatient Specialty Clinic in 2016. He quickly built a wonderful working relationship with our team and our patients. We are grateful and honored he has chosen CCMH as his hospital.”
Dr. Ellis performs surgery procedures in our advanced surgical suite including ear tube replacement, tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy, sinus surgeries, closed reduction nasal fracture, excision lesion of head or neck and nasal septal repair. He sees patients on Fridays in our Outpatient Specialty Clinic and Surgical Services Department.
Dr. Ellis’ philosophy is to listen carefully to his patients, provide thorough examinations, order tests judiciously and then explain and teach his patients how to stay healthy. He enjoys getting to know his patients and their families. He stays in close communication with the patient’s primary care physicians to coordinate care and minimize duplication of effort for the patient.
Prior to joining the CCMH team, Dr. Ellis retired from Ascentist Healthcare where he provided a wide range of ENT services in the greater Kansas City area.
Dr. Ellis received his Doctor of Medicine from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. He completed his Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery Residency at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine.
He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and a licensed physician and surgeon by the State of Missouri.
Dr. Ellis is accepting new patients. Appointments can be made by calling 660-542-1695.
