Kruse Winner of CCMH Auxiliary Afghan Raffle
December 26, 2023
CARROLLTON, Mo. – Suzanne Kruse, of Norborne, was drawn the winner of the CCMH Auxiliary Afghan Raffle on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. Auxilian Mikki Evans volunteers her time every year to create the afghans that are raffled to raise funds for the auxiliary to support the hospital.
Some examples of items the Auxiliary Volunteers make for CCMH patients are children’s activity bags, eyeglass cases, blankets and quilts, pillows, sensory aprons, and pocket prayer quilts.
They have also donated items such as pulse oximeters, sudoku and word search books and scales to the hospital for various patient needs that arise throughout the year.
In addition to making and purchasing items for patients, the Auxiliary Volunteers also help by greeting patients and visitors as they enter the building, assisting with blood drives and reading to children at the CCMH Childcare Center to name a few.
If you or someone you know is interested in giving back to CCMH patients by volunteering your time, contact Kate Bonderer at 636-733-6918 or kateb@ccmhospital.org.
