CARROLLTON, Mo. -- Carroll County Memorial Hospital's canned food drive goal was to beat last year’s total of 2,700 pounds. They passed that goal with a whopping 3,245 pounds of food this year.

Amongst the hospital employees is a good natured competition between departments and congratulations goes to the Surgery Department!

“This department has been exceeding all expectations this year….volume of patients and now they won the food drive challenge with 81.5 pounds donated per employee,” said Jeff Tindle, CEO, CCMH.

CCMH also had seven departments that raised over 20 pounds per employee.

“Way to go Surgery, Nursing Administration, Executive Team, Jefferson Medical Group, Home Health, Outpatient Clinic, and Environmental Services,” Tindle added.

All of the food goes to the Ministerial Alliance and is distributed to families in need throughout the County.

“We have been supporting this program for a number of years now and I could not be prouder of our employees who understand the true meaning of the Season, and who have surpassed their goals every year,” Tindle said.
