CCMH Medical Plaza Ribbon Cutting Well Attended
May 23, 2016

CARROLLTON, Mo. -- After 18 months of construction, Carroll County Memorial Hospital is proud to introduce our new CCMH Medical Plaza and surgery suites!
A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony celebrating the significant healthcare opportunities being created for the citizens of Carroll County was held on May 20. “It seems like it was a quick 18 months since we broke ground and celebrated the future… along with our Board, Administration, and all the CCMH team we are extremely excited to change the face of healthcare in our area and officially open the new CCMH Medical Plaza,” said CEO Jeff Tindle.
Our attendance that day was overwhelmingly supportive. We provided community tours back to back for four hours.
“We are so proud of the huge amount of community support shown to us that day and everyday,” Tindle said.
This three story addition to CCMH houses two large operating rooms that boast nearly 750square feet each. The surgery center, located on the lower level, also includes space for pre/post-operative bays, clinical support services, with a reception/waiting area. With this new space, day surgeries will now be provided right here in Carrollton.
The first floor is connected to the main hospital from the current ER entrance. This floor will house much needed expanded Outpatient Clinic space. Currently 14 different outpatient clinics are provided at CCMH, they include Cardiology, Dermatology, General Surgery, Wound Care, Podiatry, Neurology, Gynecology, GI, Endocrinology, Pulmonary, Oncology, Hematology, Orthopedic and Rheumatology.
“The most exciting part of this new facility (in my opinion) is the addition of our chemotherapy and oncology programs. Unfortunately, this is an enormous need for our community. If you’ve experienced cancer you know that having to drive two hours one way every day for weeks is not an ideal situation. We want you to focus on your recovery – without being exhausted from driving! Our experienced staff will be able to administer chemotherapy in a beautiful suite with many special touches as a direct result from suggestions of a local group of cancer survivors from our own area. This special group called ‘CCMH Heroes’ has been an integral part of creating the right environment for our Oncology center and we are honored to have many of them help with our tour as one of our Ambassadors,” Tindle said.
Finally, the second floor will house the majority of the physician medical clinics making access to hospital services much easier for our patients. This facility also includes a separate patient access corridor linking the main hospital to the new facility along with an elevator for easy access to the various floors.
CCMH has partnered with the architectural firm BSA Lifestructures to build the medical office building with the Murray Company acting as the general contractor for the project.
“I am a firm believer in the importance of community-based healthcare,” Tindle said. “We’re going to continue to bring cutting edge healthcare to this community so we can care for generations to come.”
